I painted this as yellow and orange leaves were falling outside the studio and I wondered why I was so intent on using these bues, browns and whites until a friend commented that they reminded her of skiing at Sugarloaf. Then I realized, of course I had winter on my mind; I was about to flee south to Mexico to avoid it. (I don't hate winter, my husband does, but I do love Mexico.) Goodbye New England until Spring!
