I created this series of during the COVID lockdown which I spent in Morelia, Mexico. I called it my Corona series, but now I'm calling it my Circle Series, because who wants to remember COVID? At the time lockdown hit, I was working on my Triangle Series, taping off each shape, making every edge sharp. But  going into lockdown, I bought thirty sheets of synthetic paper (called Yupo paper in the US) and when I used tape on it, the paint pulled off. So I started making handdrawn circles and semi-circles instead. I loved making this series! All the paintings are 27x37 inches. They're available November-April when I'm in Morelia.

Creé esta serie durante el confinamiento por COVID, que pasé en Morelia, México. Al principio la llamaba mi "serie Corona", pero ahora la llamo "serie Círculos", porque ¿quién quiere recordar el COVID? Cuando comenzó el confinamiento, yo estaba trabajando en mi "serie Triángulos"; delimitaba cada forma con cinta adhesiva para lograr bordes bien definidos. Sin embargo, al empezar el encierro, compré treinta hojas de papel sintético (conocido en EE. UU. como papel Yupo) y descubrí que, al usar cinta sobre él, la pintura se desprendía. Así que opté por dibujar círculos y semicírculos a mano alzada. ¡Disfruté muchísimo creando esta serie! Todas las obras miden 27 x 37 pulgadas y están disponibles de noviembre a abril, que es cuando me encuentro en Morelia.
