Subtle Stripes
.jpg)
In April, my daughter, who designs wrapping paper for Ballard & Prescott, took me on a field trip to Ferjulian's Farm in Hudson, Massachusetts to pick tulips. There was over an acre of them planted in rows. We picked enough to put a bouquet in every room of her house.

I stayed with my daughter for a couple of weeks, and the weather was overcast almost the whole time. But those tulips lifted our spirits. This painting was influenced by that experience -- the tulips, the rows, the cloudy weather, it's all here.
